Clutch design

Educate me people.

I've always wondered about the designs of clutches. What's the deal with a disc clutch and #-puck clutch design? Pros and cons? Why are pucks "racing" clutches? How is the DFX 6-puck able to hold great amounts of power and still be streetable? etc.. :read:
