Need new clutch, looking at the DFX, Mcloed twin disk and the Ram HD, open to other options..

This car in 85% street car, the rest is at the drag strip.. Have 650-700 rwhp, I need a clutch with street manners.. My Mcloed DF only had 1000 miles on it and its gone...

How hard is it to drive the twin disk clutchs on the street, also is the DFX a twin disk.. When people refer to "on and off" clutchs can your drive them on the streets??

McLeod street twin is less pressure than stock, no chatter of any kind. Real pricey and not a surefire deal, some guys have smoked them in relatively few runs after follwing breakin procedures. Mine went from a normal feel (little play a the top) to no-play at all, tob engaged all the time in just a few runs. I had to adjust it out, drives fine, shifts fine, just no play at all. Adjust for play and it will not allow changing gears. Avoid!

DFX is single disc, 6-puck type.

DFX is the pick nowadays, I would pick it if I had a "do-over"

Has anyone tested the dfx at the track, the only clutch that looks proven(by doing search) it the Ram Powergrip HD..
