Car is in the shop getting a new tranny (long story short - factory replacement for factory flaw) and I'm thinking about having them put in an upgraded clutch since the tranny is going to be out anyway.

My car: Sunny day driver. Slightly modified (pulley, chip, exhaust, etc. 450rwhp/461rwtq) and not used for racing...although I've toyed with the idea of a pass or two.

I don't *need* top-of-the-line, but I am interested in a solid, durable clutch for the long haul, or tolerable if I do decide to race it down the road or make more modifications.

Questions:

Is Centerforce or McLeod the best choices? McLeod is more than I want to really spend.

Has anyone ever heard of Clutchnet.com? One of the mechanics at the Ford dealer deals in their parts on the side and claims they're better than Centerforce. I'm considering the source, which is why I'm asking.

Any other suggestions/gotchas I should watch out for?

And after all that, who is the best online site to buy from for all the necessary parts?

Thanks all.
