clutch?!?

I think I'm in serious trouble here. My car wont stay running. as long as I keep tapping the throttle, it's fine but if I let it go, It dies. I can drive it, kinda, but when I push the clutch to shift gears, the RPM's go to nothing and it feels like it wants to stall. I think it would stall if i kept it in long enough. It won't idle in nuetral or with the clutch in. I recently had tune up done, o2 sensors etc. Any ideas?

P.S. This car has been nothing but trouble since I bought it.

Any codes? Check your plug connections etc? thats and odd one.

took the IAC (idle air control valve) off and cleaned it out. It solved the problem. It was very gunky and there was a large loose piece of dirt in there and I think that's what made the IAC bind. Just thought I'd let you know for future reference

Definately the I.A.C. this is a know problem ( I have had this problem on both my mustang(s) and the contour. However, the mass air meter could be unplugged also, but this causes eratic behavior no matter what the throttle position.
