I rode the MV Coho last month. It's a 2 hour ride from Port Angeles Wa. to Victoria BC.
I arrived 3 hours early and was told I probably wouldn't get on, next ride (same boat) about 5 hours later.
As you can see from the picture, I got the best spot on the boat, last car. The waited for me to get out before they closed the doors on the ship!
The ramp is ~18 feet wide, I had to go back and forth about 6 times to get it in sideways...
