I had a question about the Cobra R K member. I was wondering if it was the same as a GT/Cobra K member or was it different to accommodate the 5.4? I'm thinking it should be the same. Just thought I'd check with you guys though.

I may be a little late, but I believe the K-member to be the same...

I was thinking the cars shared as much as possible. I was also thinking that since both engines were modular, that the mounting places were probably the same. I remember the assembly process on Ford's site. I didn't remember anything different about the front suspension other than shocks and springs. Honestly I was almost certain it was a shared component, but I was looking for a little reinforcement ;-)

In reading thru the documentation and the factory service manuals and everything, it appears that the K-Member is in fact the same.
The motor mounts and some of the cross-members are different, but the K-member appears to be the same.
I'll talk to SVT tomorrow and try to confirm this.
I know that Kenny Brown makes a replacement tubular K-member. I am not exactly sure what it runs, but I think it is around $ 1500.
