I'm in the market to buy air tools. Not to sure what I need? Just something for home to work on the car. I was looking at sears website, found a few things. What SCFM will I need to break bolts lose? What impact gun to get? I just need something cheap that will get the job done.

I have a 26 gallon Campell Hausfield compressor. It's the stand up kind. I've had it for two years with no problems so far. I've used it to paint and to run my impact. It was only $250.

Unfortunately you're going to have to comprimise. Something cheap, may not get the job done. Something to get the job done, may not be cheap.

I bought a pretty nice compressor several years ago and I was disappointed with it. I actually ended up buying a smaller compressor from Walmart and have been pretty impressed for the money (I think $120). It's not something I can run a diegrinder for very long, or a sandblaster, but it packs a punch for an impact gun and most other things.

Shop around.
