so has anyone done the even flow cooling kit 2nd gen, on their cobra heads? and if so was it ever diff to do. I'm think about doing it over the winder break.

It's not bad. It's way easier with the blower off, but I did it with it on. A couple off things to watch for. Make sure you hit the freeze plug in the right spot (about the 9:00 position IIRC) or you'll hate life. Take care when routing the hose behind the blower as the wire harness may come in contact with the EGR tube.

Not that I can tell, more of a safe guard IMO.
