Could today get any better?

Found out the other day my trans is going in my '90 Thunderbird SC. Yippee, sucks but I can deal with it. Now today, driving down the expressway, all of a sudden it quits. No warning, no pop, no bang, nothing. Just shuts down and CEL came on. Anyone have any ideas?

There should be a code if the CEL came on.

You can pick-up a basic reader for ~$50… Mine has saved me $ numerous times.

Other than the transmission, has it been running abnormal? When you turn the ignition on, does the fuel pump hum? Secondly, any auto parts store will be able to read the CEL assuming you can get the car there.

Its a 90, no obd2. Doubt they have anything that can scan that old

And yes fuel pump is good, hasn't been acting funny at all
