Coyote swap Boss intake hood clearance

Found out today the Boss 302 intake doesn't clear the stock 96-98 hood. I have a MM k member and solid motor mounts. Would need an additional 1.25" at the front edge of the intake, maybe more. Nothing to cut out in the area its hitting. Thought Id share with you all. I figured it wouldn't but I couldn't find any conclusive info online.

Haha yeah it definitely doesn't fit.. tried it.... time for a cowl... be careful about which one as some of them will not fit either. I'm pretty sure the 3.5-4' HO fibertrends does though.


You can see below I had to cut the inside of my hood for the stock intake lol
