If your not in a hurry, search craigslist list for a couple weeks. Old school craftsman would be the best deal.

That's usually my plan, or eBay. Still use my made in USA Craftsman tools. And will replace them with USA Craftsman. I started with them, I'll finish with them.

Still carries the Craftsman price tag though. Was in Lowes last week and looking at Craftsman tools and they were quite a bit more than Kobalt and really not much better. Not for the price difference. Glad a i bought a set while they were still made here.

Now i go ti HD for what i need because what i have left to buy is the stuff you will probably only use a couple times.

Same, I bought a Craftsman Mechanic set back in the late 90's early 2000's. It was my first (mostly complete) tool set. Its unbelievable how much better craftsman was when they were USA made.
