Custom cold side piping?

Im wanting to have a custom cold side on my d1 kit and install a slot style maf to eliminate the bad procharger location. For those of you with custom pipe, howd you do yours? buy a kit to cut and piece together? Exhaust shop?

Looking for ideas for the best solution.

Ive searched and found nice cold sides, but no one really goes into how they accomplish their goals.

If you have the skill order bulk pipe and cut as you need then weld them together. The biggest issue is most people can't tig weld and that's what you need to use to weld aluminum.

I had a guy in Florida make mine up. I think his name is Mike@TCI. He has his own shop and made me a really nice blow thru setup with the slot style MAF and the harness that allows it to work with the new edge wiring harness. Overall I was happy with the quality and he had it done fast. I forget what I paid for the whole thing though. I know it came painted black to match my car.

This was about 6-7 years ago.
