Got an 03 Mach with an auto tranny, 4.10 gears and a 3800 stall converter.

Took the Livelink equipped computer and SCT out today to log some tranny temps and looking for some advice.

Managed to find two tranny temp parameters to log; trans_temp and trans_temp_cnt.

After warming the car up and driving it for a while, trans_temp stayed between high160s and low 180s at various speeds and throttle settings. (55 degrees OAT)

Not sure what #s the trans_temp_cnt represented. Started at 385, then slowly decreased to closely match trans_temp #s.

Anybody know what trans_temp_cnt means?

Not a transmission expert, at what temperture do you start to be concerned with tranny overheating? 160s to 180s a reasonable operating range?

Thanks

JT
