Here is some advice. Log with the computer and a friend in the car. I never found just the handheld to work consistently. Before you actually start recording the logs make sure all the PIDS are actually working and not just sitting there static. Try not to log too many things at once as the SCT tuner cannot handle it and it will cause issues.

Here is my experience...

- log with a laptop. The faster the laptop, the more PIDS you can log. My old Lenovo X200 did about 20 PIDs and my X230 does about 30 PIDS.

- put the SCT unit in the seat pocket on the back of the driver's seat. Put the laptop in the pax seat pocket

- start the engine, start the logging process, put the laptop in the seat pocket and drive.

- before you shut the engine off, retrieve the laptop, terminate logging and save the file. Then shut the engine off.

+1 for logging with the laptop. Much easier than trying to navigate the handheld.
