Deep scratch fix

I have 3 deep sctaches where the GT badge on the trunk used to be. Its not threw the paint just threw the clear and some paint, but there is still paint in the scratches. These are not small as they WILL NOT buff out type of marks. What i was thinking was build it up with touch up paint i have then lightly wet sand till its all smooth again and then polish and wax.

What do you all think or am i going about this wrong?

If you can feel it with your nail then it's too deep to fix without repainting . i don't think the touch up paint is going to look real good how long are the marks if they are only maybe a inch ro so you may be able to do what your thinking. but if thery are longer than a inch like 2 to 3 then i say get it repainted. their is a touch up kit out now but i forget the name of it maybe one of the other will remember.http://www.autogeek.net/langka.html
