Denmark just sucks!!!

1. Imagine living in a country with 3 weeks of summer summerized. Rest of the year it´s just rain, cloudy or snow.

2. Imagine paying 43% income tax as minimum and 72% as the highst, depends on how much you earn.

3. Imagine importing a car and having to pay 10% import tax, 25% sales tax and 180% ontop of that as registration tax. Here are a few examples:

I recently bought (and sold again) and imported a 2005 Mustang GT: Total 105.000 US$

I have a 2002 Saleen S281: Total 95.000US$

I´ve had a few "L"´s they run up in abt. 90.000US$

Some years ago I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L blah blah blah: Total 100.000US$

4. Imagine having to pay 6.25US$ for a gallon of gas. And you complain!!!

5. If you own a house and sell it with a profit, you have to pay tax of the profit.

6. You have to pay 1% of what you house is worth every year in tax.

and the list goes on and on and on and.......!

OK, there are two good things abt. this country:

1. Beautiful women! I mean it!!! epper:

2. Topless beaches!!! epper: But then again what´s it worths with a summer like that!

Damn, when I was in copenhagen I knew it seemed expensive, but I never knew about all the taxes, is it a social democracy? Its kinda the same in the other scandinavian countries right? Norway did seem a little more expensive (ie, oslo) than anywhere else I went, mostly stuck in Sweden though.

Welcome to a socialist country. They tax the he!! out of you under the guise that health care, dental etc is provided by the government. I feel for you. We complain about taxes but relative to Europe, we have it good. Share some pics of your rides and the women!

i can understand that...I only had to move from the east coast to the midwest and that was scary enough.....movving halfway around the world would defanitly take some getting used to....

Scandanavian expertise is folk dancing along with being a member of the oldest Mustang club in the US here in Tucson, Az. Our city is the home of quite a few displaced Scandanavians as well. Come on to Tucson and get out of the colder north.

The situation here in the states taxwise is going down the tubes with the rich
paying less and less with America itself going into such astronomical debt, it's
mind boggling. Coupled with many large American companies moving their headquarters offshore and not paying taxes and the widening gulf between
the haves--rich--and the havenots--those who are paying the tax load--the
next few decades will be very interesting! Politically speaking, a prime exam-
ple of "corruption" locally has our Senator Jim Kolbe accepting $115,000 donation from BIg Oil Companies and voting in the Senate to give them $12
Billion in tax incentatives. Arizona gas prices have gone up 36% this year
and Big Oil profits have gone up 35%. VERY INTERESTING!!!

Bring your family and all you Mustangs, including the Saleen, to Tucson as you'd fit right into our Southern Az. Mustang Club!!!!

I'm just kidding about the suck part, I loved the country even though it was winter when I was there and everything was white but I thought it was a beautiful place.

OrangeRcode: Yeah, it´s a semi socialist country (but we do support the US in every foreign affair you meight have, but politically and with military), and they do say that the taxes goes to healthcare. However, the waiting period for govement owned hospitals is soo long that it kills the peoble that are in an urgent need for an operation, cancer ect. So what´s it worth??? Problem is that a lot of the funds goes to the EU, rebuilting less fortunate countries, so that they can compete with us on an unfair basis. Moreso, there is so much fraud in the EU comission that you would not believe it.

T-Bolt and Big 8: That´s what I´ve been thinking. My wife wants a Lexus SUV, but the again, she´s easy settle! Duh!
What I do is I have a fulltime job selling large forgings and castings to the windturbine industry and the shipbuilding industry in Germany and Denmark. Buy the steel or iron in Germany, Italy and Japan and sell it to the above.
Then I have a engineering consultant company with mechanical engineers abt. 35 employeed, hire them on contract and sell them to a customer for the contract period and I´ve just started a hobby company called AfFORDablesupercars. Plan is to import Lightnings, Cobras, Saleens and Skylines to Denmark and sell them. So far it has only been on website basis, and sold a few, but I am starting a more serios dealership within the next 6 months. The Saleen is my company car, which makes it a little less expensive.

64.5 07K: Thank you for the compliment. Norway is an awesome country, great nature and you don´t mess with Norwegians. A good advice, if a Nowegian offers you a drink, thank no to his offer. It´s usaully 90% moonshine that makes you blind!
As for the American tax policy, inwhich I am not in a position to critisize, I would say that if the American and the danish tax laws could meet somewhere in the middle, it wouldn´t be that bad.
I see the EU is not the only political institution where fraud is "legalized". Was the public informed about this donation by "accident"?
I was in Tucson a two years ago, man, I liked that city, very cosy, in 1½ month I am bringing my wife and daughter to the airplane museum.

Thanks to a man here with a very suspecious name, I finally found out how to upload pics......I hope so here goes (don´t laugh if it doesn´t work!)

The black 2001 Lightning "Lightning Larry copy" was sold very fast, never got around to take a pic of it in Denmark, why using sellers pic!!

This is a 2000 "L" I had for a year or so, my daughters favorite car, when the guy left with it she cried for an hour!

Had this for abt. 6 months! Awesome truck, KB´ed! Miss it!

My ride at present! Ordered a KB 1,7 from SHM abt. a month ago, haven´t heard from him the last 2 weeks, thus mailing every day!

A 2005 GT! Was lowered 1.5" and with 19" never got around to take a pic of it done. Will ask the new owner for a pic.

Denmark's GDP per Capita is in the top 10, the country is nice, the system as it is works pretty well and if you don't like it then your passport pretty much allows you to live and work anywhere in Europe
