... such that you could then attach your choice of MP3 player via the stereo mini plug? I thought I saw a post on this site regarding just that, could be wrong. Either way, does anyone know if our factory headunit is preamped? I want to be able to hook up my MP3 player to my stereo and it should be relatively easy if there exsits preamps.

I just did it. I dont have the thread link off hand though. I bought the PIE FRDN-AUX from logjamelectronics as suggested. I wired it up the other night and it works perfect. Now when I hit the cd button a second time, it goes to the auxillary device. It was super easy to wire up, just need a ground and power. I believe the only requirement was that you have an 03 cobra. I guess the 04s didnt have the same connector on the back. Also, dont mind the warning on their website about it being incompatible with our cars, it works fine.

I just put it behind the stereo. There is a ton of room back there.
