Diff rebuild pics - No more noise!

I've been meaning to post these. Had the diff bearings and races replaced. You can see how bad they were scored and pitted.

know what you went through, I jus rebuilt my entire rear as well. New gears, new carrier, bearings, seals etc... Good feeling having it all done huh. ha

So, how many miles were on it? Track events? Drag races? Diff fliud changes? Just trying to put some info together.

What kind of dough does a rebuild like this run? Does it cover all of the wear parts? That might be my next project, hopefully not until winter.

Around 62K when I had it done. No tracks, no drags. Had the Diff fluid changed at 30K. I had a small diff leak and I may have driven 650 miles on low fluid. I also had a few wheel hop events doing some burnouts in the cold.

What kind of dough does a rebuild like this run? Does it cover all of the wear parts? That might be my next project, hopefully not until winter.

$1000.00 bucks, 350 in parts the rest labor and tax. I took it to a reputable performance shop so I think it cost a little more, but I'm very happy. Fortunately I didn't need gears.
