I have a JVC Digital Mini DV (GR-DF550U) camcorder.

Why is it everytime I record something with it, the video always looks pixaly [sp]?

I see everyone who post video on streetfire has great vid quailty but mine sucks when I upload it to my PC.

Why? Am I doing something wrong?

Should be a setting called "rec mode" or something like that. Make sure it's set to SP and not LP (stanard vs low). I have a sony mini DV and it doesn't look great but you shouldn't expect that much from a mini DV camera...

streetfire movies are shown in 320x240 by default; if you maximize them you'll see they're not that great of quality.

If i were you i would sell the camera and chip in a bit more for a DVD handycam...assuming you'd make good use of it.
