Good luck ciphering it out
Generally the March UDP set does not include the ALT pulley.
March 1158-08 UDP (ATI 918041)....~5.5"
March 640-08 PS
March 1172 WP (March 2252 for 1996-99)
The OEM belt length you have now will work with this pulley combo as well.
Additional underdrive alternator pulleys not included in the recipe:
[OEM size is 2.375”]
March 116-08 4’
METCO/Speed Concepts: 3.2”;2.7”
The alternator pulley is original. The shop I took it to replaced the alternator to a new one because they thought it was the alternator at first and it wasn’t because the new alternator was doing the same thing. So they put the alternator back on that I originally had on and said the other pulleys are not the original stock. He checked all the electrical and nothing. So he told me to go do my research on the right pulleys for this car then bring it back. If he can’t figure it out, how the heck am I supposed to know.No.
It's not about a lighter pulley.
If you have a pulley that has a diameter larger than OEM size 2.375” it may be underdriven for the electrical demands of your car.
I would check the alternator, as was suggested, and just see whether you have an OEM diameter alt pulley.
So he told me to go do my research on the right pulleys for this car then bring it back. If he can’t figure it out, how the heck am I supposed to know.
