I have 2011 gt. I need a new timing cover. The a/c belt sucks putting it on and taking it off. I read something on LMR about the 13-14 gt were changed to have a tensioner for a.c.. Is this true?
Thanks

So the 2013-2014 timing covers ARE equipped with this? I wish I had a part #, LMR gives no such thing(part#), because I have a HUGE order with Levittownford right now and I'd just add it to the list. But when I look up 13-14 parts list on Ford website it seems to be the same part(timing cover) as 2011. Or is it the F150 timing cover that they're using?

the5, could you elaborate please?

I know if you buy the tensioner, idler, and belt it will go right on a 14. And I have an 11 model truck cover laying here that came with a tensioner on it.
I wouldn't think 11-12 car and truck covers would be different from each other?

The new timing cover comes with the area for the tensioner machined, but does not include the actual tensioner or belt. The Part number for the new cover is BR3z6019G

The older 11-early 12 Covers do not have this area machined and tapped.

Ok so part # BR3Z-6019-G is what they sell for all 2011-2014 gt timing covers. So if I order 2011 I get the same part as if I order 2014 ...but sadly there's no such pic or part# on Ford's website for the tensioner. Very puzzling.

Research BR3Z-8620-DA for the tensioner.

Can't use a F-150 cover on a mustang, to many differences. F-150 have power steering pump, and different oil pump. Search 2011-2012 Ford Mustang
TSB 12-8-14. It has all the part numbers on it.

I bought a kit through the local Ford dealer which had the tensioner, idler, bolts, and belt all in one package. Cost was just under $70 for all of it. Does require some bending of the transmission lines if you have an auto.

To this day I've never seen a 2011 and newer 5.0 f150 with a power steering pump.... Maybe I haven't been looking hard enough, lol

Wow. Never even realized that was ever an option. I just reused my stretchy belt when I took mine off. Wonder if my car has the provision for a tensioner?
