Do I really need a aftermarket CAI?

Currently I have a K&N air filter with the silencer removed. My question is do I really need a aftermarket CAI for extra air coming in? Is the stock air intake very restrictive?

If your sig is accurate, than no. The stock intake is fine. It's the oe paper filter that's the restriction at your power levels.

Yes. It's a restriction. I picked up 16rwhp when I took mine off. Did one pull bone stock, then pulled the silencer and it picked up 16 wheel. Good enough for me.
