is there a supercheap/free way to do the head cooling mod other then ordering one of these kits, i have alot of "things" in the garage i figure i must be able to do this somehow

What he said. The first time around, I built my own kit. Turns out that was a huge mistake. I used what I thought were tough plastic unions, but they ended up literally melting and causing a chain reaction of problems in my car that now mean I'm rebuilding the whole damn motor. But at least I can now have an excuse to put on a Whipple!
