Hi all,
1. Congrats to Ford for producing the 03 Cobra! :thumbsup:
2. I currently own a 1987 GN that I am going to take to the next level (high 10s) and as a result am going to sacrifice some streetability. As a result I'm looking for a daily driver that:
(1) is domestic;
(2) has good straight line performance (say high 12s with very basic bolt ons);
(3) can be road raced without substantial modifications. Here I'm talking about basic club events and driver ed, not serious SCCA competition.
(4) Is not the Z06 (out of the budget).
I already know the answers to 1 & 2 thanks to MM&FF magazine, but am curious about 3. What are folks' experiences? What are the anticipated weak links (heat soak from SC, others)?
Wish Buick v. Mustang at englishtown wasn't rained out so I could have seen some of the 03's run.
thanks-- all comments much appreciated.
Scott
