mine is always hard to open. It's like the latch is not releasing. It's a pain in the arss.....

just hit the locks with some wd40. mine did the same thing and now it works perfectly. no need to slam it home or anything like that anymore.

never had a problem but then again i dont open the tailgate often mabey like twice a month if that

no thank you WD40 attracts dirt like no ones business.
Sorry but Sentry Solutions Tuff-glide just works SOO much better!

no lockin up but mine has been squeakin pretty bad over bumps lately. I think it has somethin to do with my cheap bed cover.
