On my 98 cobra the valve cover gasket had a slight leak. But today on the way home from work it turned into a bigger leak[as the smoke started pouring out of the hood]I started to change the gasket what a bi--h. Are there any easy way to do this or any secrets?

i did mine on my passenger side and it was a bitch. how far have you gotten? when puting the cover back on, use a SMALL AMOUNT of rtv in a bead tohold the gasket in the grove. after putting the gasket in the grove put the valve cover, gasket down, on a flat clean surface to make sure the gasket is level. this way it wont fall of when you go to put it back on. i disconnected the fuel lines and coolant lines also, make it much easier.
