Here's the deal, I've started downloading movies from Movie sites like Mininova, Piratebay, and other sites.

I also downloaded AVS Software for converting files to AVI and I have ImageBurn for burning to dvd.

But these RAR files have me stumped. I have Winrar, but I have no idea how to work it or compess the files....Any help is greatly appreciated...

Also, what software do you guys use??

OK. you have the first part right.

1) Use uTORRENT as your torrent client, its the best.

After you download a movie, if it is NOT a movie file, if it is a bunch of small compressed files, do this...

make sure WINRAR is installed.

Then go to the FIRST of the many zip files, right click it, and select "extract here"... it will go through ALL of the smaller compressed files and extract one movie file at the bottom. THAT is the file you need. Most torrents nowdays just have the .avi or mp4 or whatever movie file it is.

NOW... ALL you have to do to get it onto DVD is get:

ConvertXtoDVD 3

Google it, and get one that COMES WITH A KEYGEN. it is like the first link on google. once you have it, and enter the key, all you do is open convertXtoDVD 3, drag ANY MOVIE FILE into the program, and hit CONVERT. it will automatically convert it and burn it to a DVD with a titlebar and everything. The easiest program you could ever use. I now download movies all day and do this. never 1 problem.

Thanks, I'll try it. But don't you have to pay for ConvertX??

Yeah I know. AVI must be the best format these days.

Also, I downloaded some torrents, but when I opened it using VLC Player, the only thing that popped up was "USE WINDOW MEDIA PLAYER". But when I tried to open the movie with Windows Media Player, it then said something about it had an AVI extension..... Unless it was just a fake torrent....:fm:

I use isohunt to search and find torrents. I only download files that have positive feedback.

I'm no BitTorrent expert but it's really easy to contract some nasty viruses from that stuff.

I only run bit torrent on a virtual machine now.
