[QUOTE="Bad Company, post: 16980793, member: 141815"] Unfortunately I believe you maybe correct in this statement. California is mandating that all new cars sold after 2036 be electric, unfortunately my home state of Virginia's elected knuckleheads of governance decided to follow suit in CA's green autos. The liberal populace of this state this past election on Nov. 7th were more worried about losing the ability to have abortions versus the fact they won't be able to buy autos powered by gasoline or ethanal/gasoline. The democrats television advertisements in Virginia this election cycle were only about completely losing abortions rights, when the republicans were about limiting them to 15 weeks from the current 26 weeks. Unfortunately none of the real issues were addressed, such as changing the electric car mandate. I live in a rural area of Virginia in a county that is 512 square miles with a population of less than 45,000 with roughly 18,000 households where I'd be willing to bet that 70% of the households have at least 1 pickup truck. This county has grown very slowly in 50 years and the electrical grid to supply electricity hasn't changed much in that time. Where farms run on diesel fuel and gasoline equipment and trucks. I can't wait until the populace in these rural areas finally wake up to the fact when they want to buy a new 1/2 ton pickup truck that it will be electric. I have a feeling the car dealerships in West Virginia are going to enjoy a boon of out of state sales of new vehicles in a few years, because in 2026 Virginia mandates that 36% of all new vehicles sold will be electric. I can't wait until the electrical companies can't supply electricity to areas that haven't updated the power grids in decades The electric cars are going to be great(sarcasm) Unfortunately I think gasoline and ethanol will eventually be outlawed in the distant future, if the liberal knuckleheads keep listening to the scare tactics of the liberal elected knuckleheads that want to govern how we live. Hopefully I don't live long enough to deal with it. Socialism is the direction this country is headed, where the government tells me everything I can do, because it's for my own safety and health. We are giving up freedoms everyday. How? You import it as a show and exhibition only vehicle this allows you to purchase tags and drive it limited miles on our roads today. The very rich liberals made sure they will get to enjoy the gasoline powered cars into the future Sorry for the rant. Please do with your car as you wish, while you have the time and monies to enjoy it. Stifflers sub-frame is the same one SAI sold when I looked at it a number of years ago.
