Dumb question about clutch

A little over a year ago I replaced the clutch with a McCleod RXT twin disc clutch. After I broke the clutch in; I took the car to the track with some 28" hoosier slicks. It seems like I remember the car having a difficult time spinning the tires in the burn out box. The car didn't rev up abnormally when launching or anything. It cut 1.7 60' times twice before the engine broke on the second run. Fast forward to now please. I am putting another engine in the car and my question is; can you tell if a clutch slipped by looking at the flywheel or clutch disc? I'm probably being paranoid because I'm spending so much money on getting the car running again. I just don't want to go through all this and then find out the clutch is slipping while the car is on the dyno getting tuned.
