OK, this Q is about the rear needle bearings in the Eaton case, nothing to do with the snout. I have my Eaton apart right now polishing it. Looking for some advice or past experiences.

How difficult is it to pull out the bearings from the case without destroying them?

If they get damaged, can you get new bearings from Ford or where is the best place?

I have seen that Mobil 1 synthetic grease mentioned as the correct product to use, is that correct.

Thanks all.

No part of the blower itself is serviceable from Ford. You may be able to remove the bearings and have a local bearing manufacturer match them up, or see if you can contact Eaton themselves to see if you can get replacements.

I'm sure most states have a bearing manufacturer, we have "Utah Bearing" that can pretty much match up any/everthing.

I have a spare Eaton with a front bearing going out (one just behind one of the rotor gears), I haven't checked into it yet, but I'm confident I can find something.
