I just moved into a house that was a forclosure so there were a few items left in the house, one of them being a porter cable random orbital sander. It has no power cord on it however so I took it apart figuring it would be an easy fix. I can see where the one wire broke off at the switch which would be easy to replace...but where does the other power wire connect? I thought all electric motors had two brushes however there is only one inside the unit. I checked the assembly drawing online and it only shows one.
