Hello All,

I'm looking for some clarification on electronic boost controllers.
I'm in the process of finalizing a single turbo install, and want to have the ability to more precisely control the boost.

A few questions:
1. Can I run a very small spring in the waste gate and then use the boost controller to command a higher psi.

For example, lets say I have a 4lb spring, and command a 10 psi boost. The intent is to have the latitude to to change settings anywhere within that window.

2. If the above is possible, which I suspect it is based upon what I know of boost controllers, are there any negative implications of the above?

Ok, how about this. I know I can run spring "X" and command boost of "Y", as long as X<Y. However, I still haven't seen anything regarding negatives with a boost controller.

Anyone???

You can only run approximately 1.5x to 2x the wastegate spring w/ an electronic boost controller before the spring is overpowered.
