Engine Cleaning?

My engine bay is really dirty...what is the best and the safest way to clean up the engine bay

Simple Green & Water. Then Armor all or CD-2. :rolling:

Cover your altenator, battery, and distributor with plastic bags. Make sure your engine is cool. Spray it with water, then use simple green, let it soak for a few minutes, and rinse. Repeat as nessary using non scratching brushes for tough spots. Then let it dry and spray CD-2 engine detailer on it and you're done. If you want then wipe off the excess. Also I would remove the sepentine belt so it doesn't get that stuff on it.
