Eurofighters at Lewis-McChord AFB?

My brother just texted me asking if we would have a Typhoon, J10, or J20 here at Lewis-McChord because he saw 3 flying together near the base today. Asked him if it could have been an F35 given it has close to a delta wing shape seen from below, but he said it for sure had the small forward wings and looked like they were Typhoons. Anyone know why we would have those out here? Training, airshow, etc?

Cross training isn’t uncommon but it always spools up more prior to deployment.

RAF would deploy regularly to SoCal prior to deployment to the sand box.

Temperature and terrain is very similar.

Based out of NAF El Centro. They’d bring their own aircraft.

We conducted some training for their flight crews.

Took us for a ride in their Lynx. Said it had the world speed record for a helo at the time back in 2008ish

Never saw any of their airframes in the sandbox. I did meet some of the infantry cats. They had Strykers.

Did a lot of cross-training with the Royal Marines in Virginia. They're crazy sons of bitches but were a little too homo, even for Marines lol.

Typhoons are certainly not uncommon. There has been RAF drones flying around Socal a lot lately too.

What I've learned is there doesn't need to be a big upcoming specific event to see all sorts of aircraft from all sorts of countries in the US.
