My cat on my driver side has gone bad and it sounds disgusting. I have straight pipes that are interchangeable, but I do not have MIL eliminators and won't be able to get them until next week.

That being said, does anyone know if I were to take the cats out and put the pipes in if I would see any ill effects other than the CEL?

The sound is annoying....but I can hit 10lbs. of boost instantly on a stock car!!...how's that for a clogged cat?

Any answers are appreciated.

you wont notice anything other than a CEL since they wont be pluged in or turned off in the tune other than that you will be fine taking them off rear 02 only monitor cat condition and nothing with the a/f ratio
