what are the advantages of stainless steel as opposed to aluminized or composite steel? bc i noticed the alum. and comp. are much cheaper. asking for catback and x pipe, oh and will stainless steel and the others weld together fine?(or will there be come problems) thanks for any input

Stainless is the way to go. Avoid aluminized, especially in "rusty" areas. You will also have problems with rotting from the inside out with aluminized.

To answer your question, aluminized is treated metal, which is electroplated or dipped to prevent corrosion. Stainless pipes still corrode, but at a far slower pace.

There is also a noticeable sound difference. Stainless has a more raspy sound.

one more thing.....the bassani x pipe that comes with cats, are the cats interchangable with straight pipe?and if so how easy is it to do?
