I swapped out the 245x45x19 inch factory rims / Pirelli tires. with 245x50x18 rims & tires for a much quieter/ softer ride ....

If comfort is what you are after I bet those do ride a little smoother. As for looks and performance, I am not a fan of your current set up.

There shouldn't be that big of a difference in ride quality between the 18 and 19 inch rims. What tires were you running and what was the air pressure. When I had my factory 19s I was running MPSS tires all the way around and the care rode very smooth.
