I never played the games and really enjoyed the series. For shits and grins I download one of the games afterwards, its ok, not really into games a anymore.. outside of driving sims like Forza and Gran Turismo..

I'm curious which one you downloaded because if I had to take a guess based on a recent major uptick in player activity to the point that it reached an all time high for players online, you must have downloaded Fallout76 as it was free on the Microsoft store recently.
Fallout 4 is free on the PS store right now so I started playing it. Not bad but the dreary setting doesn't hold my attention as well for a game.

Oh okay I didn't realize they were offering that up on PSN. I know FO4 was one of those opinionated games on launch, I enjoyed it but my favorite will always be New Vegas.
I really really want to replicate the NCR service rifle from new vegas, I've seen a few builds on reddit over the years. I should get off my ass and at least buy the furniture before anything gets more expensive

Definitely will be. The Deathclaw skull they showed at the end will be good entertainment when those show up. Most of them are normal but there are chameleon color shifting ones in the game, so that could be pretty cool on screen.
The show did a pretty good job of portraying the game IMO. Very interested for Season 2.
Looking forward to mutants and deathclaws in season 2.
Was reading about season 2. They are talking like it won't be available until late '25 or even early '26!
I was wondering about that, but figured it was going to take a while to film and release. 2026 is probably more likely.
I'm so old that I remember a time when they put out 24 episodes a year, year after year. This 8 episodes every 2-3 years is a joke.
wonder if it's due to writing/filming editing or due to characters availability, especially if they are trying to get some new prominent characters in season 2

There is bound to be a lot of post production work, but god damn… there are comparable sci-fi shows (production quality) turning it around faster than that…
I mean… stranger things .. on Netflix.
Started in 2016, season 4 was 2022. They are saying season 5 in 2025.
So 9 years for 5 seasons
