Fastest C6Z06 10.98?

Was over on Corvetteforum.com because I have seriously been considering selling the Cobra for a black C6 Z06, and was impressed to find that the cars are putting down 550-580whp with stg II cams, headers, cai, tb, and tune. The strange thing is that the best time for ANY C6 Z06 seems to be a 10.98.. 10s have been attained in 03 Cobras w/ 600whp, so I was expecting better times; I figured mid 10s with that kind of p/w ratio :shrug:

Traction issues? I saw a video where on stock street tires he chirped every shift... Spun wildly off the line, then got traction right before the 1-2 shift, and chirped as he shifted... I would guess traction could be a problem. The gears could also be a problem. It's geared more for top speed.

I'm just amazed that in 2006 you can buy a car that with moderate modifications can run in the 11-10 sec. zone!!!!! epper: :banana: Hell, look at what it took to run these times just a short time ago radical cams,gearing etc.$$$$$$$$ an lots of $$$$$$$$$! :lol:
