Enthusiasts,
I am proud to say that I am finally able to begin my first build thread!

A little background, I bought my first 03 Cobra in 2008 w/ 50K miles on her. Bone stock. I had all the aspirations in the world to mod that car to no end. Well, as life goes I quickly learned that I was living well outside my means. Sadly I had to sell her in 2009, I just couldn't afford it.

Well a little earlier this year I picked up my second 03 Cobra with 74K miles on her and a convertible. I didn't want the vert but the price was just to good to pass up! So here I am with my second cobra and I can finally afford it! She already had some good mods but lacked all the essentials in my opinion. Over 500 RWHP but couldn't effectively get any of it to the ground. Lack of chassis stiffening and the loosest rear end ever! So I started from the ground up. First of all Fixing the vacuum leaks, new plugs, new valve cover gaskets, JLT RAI, basically TLC! I spent a few days going through the JANKY wiring and geting everything up to my standards. Working w/ aircraft has made me a bit of a perfectionist! I removed all of the interior and Installed a 6 point cage. Added the remaining components to the sub frame connecters to have an extreme matrix kit underneath. I am going to tie the cage into the sub frame as well. Then I went with front and rear strut tower braces. New rotors and pads. Corbeau CR1 black leather seats w/ 5 point harnesses are en route and in the mean time I am replacing all the fluids, doing some cosmetic work (new hood, new top) and installing Bruces FTBR kit for the rear end over this weekend.

Whats the point of a SCREAMING supercharger and a good amount of power if I cant get any of it to the ground?!

Here is a list of mods as of when I bought it:
LFP Intercooler (stenciled SVT)
LFP Power Steering Reservoir Expansion Tank (Black)
LFP Pro Comp Race Radiator
Raptor Shift light
LFP Perfect Flow Head Cooling Mod
Stant High Performance Extended Thermostat 160

Can you post more pictures of how the roll-cage? I'm curious how it looks in the rear with the seats, and the clearance around the feet where the roll-cage connects under the dash area, as well as the room around the passenger/drive head area with both seats and that cross-bar.

I've considered putting a cage in my cobra, because the close-by track events require them for verts (no roll-over protection in the pillars).

I will post some more pictures tonight of the over all progress. I will try and take some very specific pictures with the top up. I don't have carpet in yet and My CR1's wont show until next week (hopefully). But, I can throw in one of the cobra seats if you would like an idea.

Thanks for the words fellas. My buddy and I did a substantial amount of work last night and we were drunk by 2. At midnight we called it a day. I think I do my best work intoxicated!

That's cheap as hell. Nice buy. Glad to see that it is now in a deserving home.

A few more pictures of the progress. I got cut a little short because the woman wanted to go to town. Which means I had to escort her! Ohh well I needed some fluids and I ended up picking up some kicker speakers and what not to go ahead and get the stereo going.

Postalbunny the first few are for you. If we don't go to the beach tomorrow I will get you some more with the carpet, seats and top up.

I believe it was actually a coastal car. No worries tho it is all surface rust. The wire wheel, rattle can paint and she will be good as new
