FIPK guys check your hex head bolts!

For the third, and hopefully last time (thanks lock-tight) I had to re-tighten the 4 hex head bolts that connect the filter/cone to the MAFS housing/body. Especially the one on the bottom closest to the front tire (it was backed out a 1/4" !)

If your idle becomes erratic and or your car's performance all of a sudden is down (in say a good 3/4 gear pull) and you run a FIPK, be sure and check the mounting hardware!

This has happened to me at least three times now..... I don't see why these bolts back out for, unless there is far more vibration at speed than it would seem

No they have always been there, thats what blows my mind!

I really don't see why these bolts/screws back out over time, being they are hex head (as opposed to say phillips) you can tighten them good. I alternated back and forth as I tigthened them down, but yet they still loosen after a couple months.

If the lock-tight does not work, I guess I will just plan on a monthly re-torque
