Hey all. I'm not sure if this has been posted over here before, but Tach9 over at mach1registry.com and mach1.org has been organizing the first annual Mach1 convention in Las Vegas,
Oct. 1-3. He has been able to secure a group discount on rooms at the Alexis Park Hotel which is across from the Hard Rock Cafe and is currently taking reservations.
He has lots of great stuff planned, just head on over here for more info:

http://www.mach-1.org/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=27

This is the official forum for the conventions, so please check the threads for the lates info. Best of all, the convention is free!
We have many people from around the country coming, so it would be great to see you guys there! This is open to all mustangs too, not just mach 1's.

By the way...Tach9, the one and only person who has been organizing this convention has had some bad luck lately, and can't make it to the convention for financial reasons beyond his control. We are all pulling together and having a raffle in his name to help donate money to help send Tach9 to Las Vegas. We can't not have the father of the 1st convention not show up!

We are raffling off a set of Toyo T1-s 245/45 ZR-17's. Each ticket costs 20.00 bucks and like I said the proceeds will go to help Aaron out financially. Many of us have benefitted from him in the way of advice, great deals on MM products, and most importantly, friendship. He is an authorized MM vendor too, so if you'd like to get some good deals, hit up this link...

For info on how to donate and get your raffle ticket, check this link out.

Please head on over and help out if you can!!!

Yeah Dave it sure is. It's going to be a blast too....imagine 50 Mach's cruising down the strip at the same time.

A shelby plant tour is planned along with some seminars on suspension, handling, show 'n shine and other deals in the works. Aaron has been working his ass off on this one and it's a shame he can't make it. But yes it is definitely a go man. Come on down, it would be great to meet you !

Also if you could help out with the raffle it would be great as well. 20 bucks for a ticket goes a long way, considering the convention is totally free.

Hey everyone. We are almost at the 100% mark for covering the cost of tires, after that all donations go directly to Tach9 to make sure he can come!
Please feel free to send me any questions you guys might have.

This sounds pretty interesting. My car is at strictly performance right now getting a stroker kit and I'm "upping" the boost. The convention is perfect timing. My car should be out in a month or so. Wouldn't mind breaking in the new parts to a drive to Las Vegas. So what are the events taking place?

Hey Mighty Mach, so far we have a performance seminar w/breakfast, a tour of the shelby plant, midnight drag racing the 1st of Oct, cruising the strip, taking a mass photo in front of the bellagio and some other things. MM has signed on to be an official sponsor and we are trying to get Borla to sign on to.
If are coming I must STRESS THAT YOU PLEASE SEND TACH9 A CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many people have said they are coming and yet they are too damn lazy to send a confirmation or check their friggin email for updates on the convention. Because of this, Tach has been forced to cancel some events because he doesnt have the required number to get good group rates.

He's the only one organizing this entire thing, so the least we could do is make one thing easy for him and send a confirmation to
[email protected]

In the end this will be a blast so please come on out and have some fun!!!!!!!

So what do we need as a confirmation and how do we get the reservations for the hotel, I really would love to go especially for the drag racing and to meet fellow mach owners. This is a couple of days after my birthday so this would be a good gift from my girl. How many people are going so far?

Mighty mach so far we have 100 people signed up, not necessarily 100 machs but yes people. The amount of machs might be anywhere from around 30-50 but shoot, for the 1st annual convention, thats pretty good.

A confirmation is needed. Send your confirmation to
[email protected] His name is Aaron Tachibana and he is the one organizing this. Just send him an email and let him know you plan to come.
The hotel his reserved for us raised their price recently. We couldn't get the required confirmations for a set price but you can still get a decent price online for the Alexis Park hotel, which is where the main group of people are staying. If you choose to stay somewhere else thats cheaper, then by all means please do so.

Please go here for info.

Here is info on activities, a confirmation is needed as well.

Allrighty guys and gals, after much headache/heartburn and some last minute changes we finally have a schedule.
Unfortunately, as much as we wanted to hold the welcome dinner/breakfast performance seminar at the Nascar Cafe, it just didn't work out. At the beginning it was all peachy, but towards the end they wanted booku money up front and were impossible to get ahold of...so we found a better place.

The welcome dinner/breakfast performance seminar will be held at the Fast Lane Cafe at the Las Vegas Speedway, which is where we will be drag racing on the 1st evening and touring the Shelby Factory Sat afternoon. They are shutting the place down JUST FOR US and it's ours for as long as we need it. We have a great dinner planned. If you don't like what we have then you can just order from the menu. Breakfast will be the usual continental found at most hotels, and some variations will be allowed as people request them. They are willing to work with us and not against us as the Nascar Cafe started to seem.

Here it is!!!

Oct 1st.
12 p.m 3 p.m-Registration/Alexis Park Hotel in Tach 9's room.
7 p.m-Welcome Dinner @ Fast Lane Cafe/Las Vegas Speedway $20.00/person
10 p.m-Midnight Madness Drag Racing Las Vegas Speedway
10:30 p.m-"We Will Rock You" show @ Paris (for those that want to go)

Oct 2nd.
8 a.m-Group breakfast and performance seminar given by our very own Tach9 $10.00/person
12 p.m-Break for lunch (whatever your choice is)
2 p.m-Shelby American Factory Tour...FREE!!!!
4:30 p.m-Indoor Kart Racing
6 p.m-Mach 1's cruise the strip!!!!
8 p.m-Dinner (nothing confirmed, we can try to meet up as a group or go seperately for those that want family time, etc.)
10:30 p.m-"We Will Rock You" show @ Paris (for those that want to go)

Oct 3rd.
8 a.m-Breakfast Roundup (If we all like the Fast Lane we can try it again, if not wherever you choose!)
9 a.m-Show 'n Shine @ Shelby Factory parking lot-make sure to bring your detailing suppplies!!
1 p.m-Hot Rod Grill for lunch
3 p.m-Hoover Dam cruise
7 p.m-Farewell Dinner (possibly fast lane cafe)
12 midnight-possible burnout contest (if we can swing it...Dave you want to help us out with this one? Try to do some cop networking???)

There it is folks. The one thing we need to stress is to be flexible. Traffic/construction going on at the strip and hoover dam may force us to make some changes. Tach and I will be arriving in Vegas 2 days early to scout it all out and make changes as needed. Once you arrive for registration we will let you know of any changes that are made.

We are going to scout for some possible photo locations too. Bill Steves has recommended the top of a few casino parking garages at sunset that would make for some awesome shots! Like I said Tach and I will be scouting it up!

Official Convention T-shirts will be on sale throughout the convention for $20.00. At registration you will receive a laminate convention I.D with your name attached to a Toyo tires lanyard, Maximum Motorsports catalog, updated schedule, and directions to all of the events with the starting point of the Alexis Park Hotel.

We will be raffling off a set of Toyo T1-S tires and an MGW Shifter T-handle, both part of the "Help Tach9 get to Vegas Raffle." Tickets will still be on sale for $20.00 each! The raffle will be held at either the welcome dinner or breakfast seminar, depending on how many tickets sell.

Well that's it! I'm sure there will be plenty of questions so go ahead and post 'em up and we'll do our best to help you out.
Tach and I are excited as all hell and can't wait to meet everyone in Vegas for some much needed fun. Drive safely everyone!!!!!!
