First time at the track with 2014 GT

Took the car to opening day at the local track and was not all that happy with the ET's. Due to computer malfunction at the track, I was only able to make two passes. Best was a 12.06 @ 113 with a 1.77 60'. The car is picking up 23 mph in the back half so its making some power but I was thinking 11's should be the norm.

Mods are a Circle D 4c converter, AED tune, Dynatech drive shaft, and a Lethal 3" off road H pipe. Other than these mods the car is stock right down to the spare tire and air filter. I am running 275/60/15 MT ET drag radials on 8" dark star rims. Perhaps the 28" tire and 3.15 gear is not the best combo? These are the tires I had from another car. I think the trap speed seems low, what are you guys with a 4C trapping at? I emailed Shaun for his input. What do you guys think?

I went to Gulfport Dragway last Wendsday(4/2/14) went 12.06@114 also with a 1.72 60'. Same mods as you(off road X, tune, Circle D) this is on 305/45/18 Nitto's(28.9"), race weight of 3940(taking off for not having N2O bottle in car) at 860 DA. I don't think you're off bad, My best N/A is [email protected] at 100' DA(had N2O bottle "in" but everything else exactly the same).

28" tire is too tall. You don't want anything taller than 27. I have been a best of 12.16@114 with just AED tune, dynatech DS and bigs n littles with MT 255/60-15 drag radials

Ran the car again at US 131 again today with some great air and advice from Chris at Circle D to load the converter with as much rpm as i could instead of leaving off idle. Best of the day was an 11.88 @ 115 with a 1.68 60' With a race weight of 3800+ lbs, I'm happy with it!
