not a "hey snakeman, welcome to the board!"
nor a "nice times for spinning like that!"
not even a "whatcha got done to it?"

oic someone deleted the image...
guess i'm outta here, then...
RT .989 (hey, it has been a while! i was napping.)
60 2.154 (trying too hard to make up for lost time )
330 5.642
660 8.507 @ 87.486
990 10.916
ET 12.954
mph 111.935
Whatca got done to it? 12.9 at 111.9 is pretty darn quick and powerful. Looks like with that MPH you had early tire problems. Get DR or Slicks and you should be around 12.2 or so.
Nice times Snakeman. What's your mods? Looks like with that 2.1 60 foot and high 111 trap speed you're making plenty of power after a bad launch to compensate for a high mph and respectable high 12. So, are you running a power adder?
yeah, lousy launch, really rough at 6500+ RPM, too...
I shifted at 6400 for that run, so i think with fresh ignition (plugs/wires) stuff that i can move the shift point to closer to 7k...
I'm running an S-trim at ~6lb boost (maybe exhaust mods lowering the boost?). i wanna put a set of Nittos on her, but can't decide between the new road racing tires and the DRs. these days i'm in the twisties more than straightlining it...
Don't discount those Nitto d/r's for road racing.....they are actually quite good. I'm sure some Kumho's would probably be a tad better, but for all around drage racing performance and some good stick on a twisty, Nitto's are hard to beat.
Yeah, work on that 60 foot time......you can get rid of quite a bit of time off your et......With a good launch on Nitto d/r's, you should get somewhere around 1.8.
I love them!
I've pulled low 1.7 short-times in my '90 LX and 11-second timeslips on Nittos wet weather handling is much better than with the tires i run now. a few runs at the track and i bet i could hook up with the Pirellis...
with slicks, i pulled a 1.5x short-time on slicks.
The reason i am heavily considering the RR tires is because they have the same size I run on the rear and they are Z-rated. I often go faster than the 120 MPH that the drag radials are rated for...
OIC!
from the title, it sounds like it was my first time at the track!
LOL!
I've made the finals 7 times with two wins in one season...
not bad for driving a car that i was constantly modifying.
I'll link to a couple video clips with this car and the LX
there is a huge video of mostly my car over at 98cobra.com "Rob's LX" or "gorobgo something" in the title.
both the times in my sig are traction-limited runs...
i'm getting the cobra back next week with a new SHM 575HP shortblock, mild ported heads, SHM blower cams, JBA shorty headers, Canton road race oil pan, and an MSD DIS-4 box to help keep things together
NIce car dude. Did you ever run the car with drag slicks ??? Also what did you launch the Cobra at to get your 1.7 60ft. times, and what pressure in the tires???
snake man your video of you smoken that trans am is asbolutely sweet. I want my 86 GT to run like that. Can you email me or something and tell me what to get for my beast. I am stuck in the 13 seconds and must go 11's.
