So I finally made it to the track with my eaton swapped Mach 1

429hp
390trq
Mt/dr
4.30 gear
Manual trans
It was 103degrees and the da was around 6500'
I'm thinking with better weather conditions and if I can drop my 60' Some more I should be able to run mid 12s
My first pass I left at idle and ran 13.48 @108 with a 2.1 60'
This pass I left around 2500

No worries it'll get better. Thats exactly what I ran in mine the first time around. but with a 2.1 60ft. Second time (I installed a line lock and put M/Ts) went down to 12.3 @ 113mph. Third time (no changes) 11.9 @ 115mph. Never went back again since I traded the car in. I had 3.55s though, with 4.10s it was useless in 1st and 2nd.

The times should most definitely drop with cooler weather and lower DA's, take the car back out when the weather cools down.

I'd say with slicks you would drop a full second.

No traction issue, I'm running MT drag radials.
I thought about upping my launch rpm.
But I still have the stock trans and rear in it.
I should be going back out in October when the weather is cooler.
Also with a t56 magnum installed.

Get rid of those 4.30's definitely hurting you. Don't need that much gear with an eaton. 3.55 or 3.73's.

Better weather you should be high 11's or mid. 11's with a good launch and around 120mph

They will go when I build the rearend.
Just can't decide what gear to go with.

just ran mine tonight
so new best time it was really hot and my IAT temps never got below 122F and my timing was pulled back due high IAT timing was only 12.7 on my best run....soooo that sucks i will def fix this before i go back again my 1.8 60 was leaving at 2400rpm clutch drop with almost a dead hook. it felt awsome being able to pull 1st gear at WOT. temp at the time of pull was mid 80's with 50% humidity or so????
all and all im fairly pleased with it... was hoping the MPH would have been higher but its all good
