Went to the strip for the first time with 275/45R17 Nitto 555r tires on the rear. Best Run was:
R/T .003
60' 2.002
330 5.365
1/8 8.104
mph 91.40
1000 10.452
1/4 12.382
mph 120.62

The run after that I finnaly made a decent 60' but missed third!!! I was so pissed and i couldn't make it happen again all night as the track was cooling off. Mods are: 2.8 upper, cat delete x-pipe, magnaflow catback, upgraded heat exchanger, k&n intake, and 4:10 gears. I think had i gotten through the run with the 1.8 60' i woulda got close to 11's. Are those times ok?

had you not missed third that would have been an 11 for sure. You need to learn to leave harder, with 4.10s you should be able to get a 1.6X 60 And you have a ton of mph your car is an 11 second ride. what rpm do you launch at?

nittos work well. on my old eaton car it went 11.70 at 120. with the whipple the car went 10.94 @ 129. i think the 4.10s may be hurting you just a bit cause how hard the initial hit is. keep it up and it should be a 11 second car all the time.

the nittos were working well at the start of the night, i was launching around 3300 by slipping slightly then dumping and it was hooking wide open in first. but every run after i made the 1.8 60' i was spinning more and more. i think the track was getting cold being it was like 9:45 at night

I hate Nittos...my old Cobra (98 not 03) did 11.7 @ 116 mph but with a 1.6 on m/ts....

I could never get my Nitto drags to hook.

alright well going back to the track tomorrow! It turned out the track didn't get crappy last time my diff cover got crappy!! LOL, so I now have a diff brace and mounts, and a new set of 315 nitto drags. Anyone know what kinda 60' times i "should" be capable of? And what RPM are most guys shifting at? Thanks!

No I didn't run the 12.3 with a missed gear. I let off after missing the gear. Well I'm off to try it again! Hope i don't brake anything this time!!

i cut a 1.64 60 on 315 nittos last night so you just have to launch them carefully dont just dump it.
