Are the flywheels balanced to the crankshafts?
just installed new clucth on my car spec stage 2
had the flywheel resurfaced, it was pretty bad.
everythng is feels good, and car runs great.
but my dad asked me if marked the flywheel to the crank? i did not.

this leads right into aftermarket flywheels, these
would not be balanced to the crankshaft?

anybody thoughts??

They are neutral balance but the bolt pattern only allows one orientation any way.

Make sure you guy just verifies neutral balance because if your fly and pp are not and he balances the crank to compensate you are screwed if you need to swap them out.

I loved my Stage 2 as well! It ran great for the 2 years of extreme abuse I put it through!!!!

These motors are internal balance meaning that the engine guy does not need the balancer and flywheel to balance the rotating assembly like he would if it was an external balance motor.

What they should do is balance the internal parts then attach the flywheel and balancer to verify its still balanced.

Any good shop should know what to do, but I never send the flywheel and balancer along with an internal balance job to eliminate any question.
