For everyone using Royal Purple?

Okay so i usually use mobil1 but had royal purple 5w30 put in and ever since then i get this weird smell, smells like anitfreeze burning but nothing is leaking i checked, could it be something else, mabye oil lol or could it just be a weird smell because its a new type of oil? anyone else have this problem

It smells like burning oil.......

Anyways, maybe like a tar roof being layed down type of smell

Use it in my Vette and no smell. Use Redline in the Cobra.

The way the stupid oil filter is positioned, there is no way to take it off without it spilling all over the steering rack boot. I cleaned it up with some brake cleaner but maybe some oil was still left.

I take a piece of cardboard, bend it into a V and jam it under the oil filter. The oil runs down the cardboard into the pan! Not all over the steering rack!
Did the same thing when I had the 01 Cobra. Works Great!
