[UPDATE 12/10/2022]
SOLD! Good price and a great new owner. Just sorting out the funds transfer and a smooth ride from CT to TN. Thanks to all who like/shared/commented!
Presented for immediate sale is this remarkable 2003 Mercury Marauder. In the family since 2006, garaged and lovingly maintained ever since. Runs and drives super solid. Interior is excellent. Paint is very good with minor scratches or small door ding (one of them I got at a car show!) or clearcoat crack (bumpers, mainly but no significant damage). Needs nothing. It’s a garage queen. Time for someone else to enjoy. $19,500 (neg) no trades.
If interested, keep reading!

From the pictures you will see I have a wide variety of Marauder swag that will make the new owner of this car a true collector. Dealer slicks, vintage Mercury ads, car cover w/ storage bag, poster, coffee mugs, rare “Marauders of Woodward” serialized litho by Michael Irvine, lapel pin, trophies, window sticker, FPG certification, and other bits and baubles.
TLDR:
People stop me in parking lots and stoplights whenever I take this car. Usually a conversation starts with “You never SEE these things anymore!”.
Car also has what I think may be an interesting history. I am the third owner of the car. The first was Ford themselves – as a manufacturer rep car. Conveyed through Bill Stroppe & Son of Paramount, CA and after a curious search online I found that Bill Stroppe has ties back to the original Marauder and went on to tremendous success as an owner/driver in Baja with his Broncos. And Stroppe & Son wasn’t a traditional Ford dealer per se, but rather seemed to manage press fleets around the time this car came out. Maybe this particular car ended up in an article or photographed for a write up? Never got that far! The car moved on from its duties to auction on the East Coast eventually landing with Owner #2 in West Babylon, NY which is where I bought it in January 2006 at L&B.
Title in hand. No trades. Car is sold as-is. Please take your time to review the photos as I don’t wish to misrepresent this car in any way. MANY more pics to share and conversation to have!
