i'm getting my b heads redone, and am not sure whether to buy new stainless valves from mmr or just buy ford racing valves. has anyone had experience with the ford valves--i have used manley in other engines in the past with good results.

thanks,
jerry

The Ford racing valves are pretty good quality and nice for the money too! But, they are the same valves as in the FR500 cam kit. The keeper groves have been raised .130" and you would need the springs from Ford to go with them. The additional installed height would drop your stock or some aftermarket seat pressure too low. Larger valves from manley or Ferrea will help a bit on the low lift flow also.
